Looking good Tom nice job , I have never used that brand ( always use Bare Metal Foil myself ) but once I did have a problem wit sticky residue but was really old foil . another tip after you get done with the q-tip I use a new wooden tooth pick and gently rub the end across the part I foiled with light pressure and will mostly take out the wrinkles you get some times , just a idea if you wanna try I am gonna try that Paul. I may be pulling this attempt off and use the Bare Metal Foil I have. This different product is such a PITA

Mmm a good pita sandmich sounds good right about now lol. I also cut the fuzzy end of a q-tip off at a 45° angle and use it to smooth out the wrinkles, it doesn't bite in like a toothpick. Looking great Tom! Can't wait to see it done!

Did the best I could this time with the BMF. Was a PITA for sure. But it is on, and gave her a quick polish and buff. I plan to touch up with chrome silver paint here and there, and use this as well for the marker lights. First of course a little flat white so the amber and red show, then I will toothpick these with paint. A touch of brushed clear over the marker lights, another good polishing, and final assembly to follow......

Had a down day before returning to work. Got a little done - painted the marker lights, added the side emblem, (PE), trunk lock and rear tail lights installed. Also put some decals on the windows - not shown yet.... No worries, marker lights will be getting more yellow and red touch up work - they kind of look pukey rough at the moment

Wow that paint is sweet, good go at the BMF too mate, you are gutsy doing the wheel arches, i've only ever done 2 myself, and was given a tip after the first one, instead if cutting the BMF in a straight line, cut out an arc, a bit bigger than the wheel opening, by the time you cut 4 wheel arches worth, you dont actually use any more, but it will lay down much better, and not crinkle up as much.

Man - and you know, I was actually thinking to do just that! I was not so much worried about any excess, as those smaller pieces could be used for door handles, wipers, whatever.
Next time - FOR SURE - It's the ARCHES!!!!! high-five-smiley-emoticon

Looking good here buddy. The Pledge will look better on the windows than on the flocked floor. I've used that brand of foil and didn't like it either.

Appreciate that Paul, got the bumpers on yesterday, hoping to finalize tonight. Sure wish there was something I could do for that nasty BMF job, but I will just have to live and learn, and MOVE ON!!! Gots so many kits to build, and only so many years to do them!!

All the little bits done, spoiler wet sanded and cleared with some OLD Testor's clear, to yellow it just a touch to help match the decals, (it was nice and bright white)
Last 2 pics - will post some final pics this weekend on a new thread, probably in the factory stock finished thread Thanks for your patience Secret Santa - whoever you are!!!
