thanks Dale most of that time was slowly sanding the hole cut in the body so that it didn't end up too big.

Knarf, Lookin better every time I go into your thread.Interior is looking goood and i still love the stance with the big meats all around.. The Headers are really cool , especially with the front fender side exit.. Defiantly some tedious work there.... Looks great -- keep up the great work ......The Hood Scoop works great with the whole thing..Rock-On.

just a couple pix of progress on the headers...spent 2hrs to get to this point still haven't decided on a paint scheme or color yet enjoy Frank, The headers, did you actually "make" them from square styrene stock? GAWD, they look good and do the part they are to do VERY well! NICELY done man! two-thumbs-up-smiley-emoticon

thank you Paul thank you John and no i didn't scratch the headers, just cleaned them up and made the tips. the biggest consumption of the 2hrs was in measuring/test fitting to make absolutely sure i cut the holes in the exact right place

-Frank, INSANE! (you and all the rest of us!) But the squareness of them made me think you "made" them. What model they from you know? It looks as tho it might have been a 'Vette, BUT.....That damned "square tubing look they have made me think that they were scratch built to fit the "use" your putting them too......
GAWD, talk about being "bug eyed" for a bit after 2 hours at going back and forth, I bet you were glad when you knew they were in the right place! Thats cantankerous tedious work man...Specially in what looks and I bet is a VERY short distance!

Nice Frank. You know how I feel about those little pieces of paint here and there. Sets it apart from the rest.
Deadline is approaching quick.

got a little more done, detailed the dash (i used Tbill's method) got the interior done but the steering wheel and column rear-end installed, still needs shocks and the body still looks like this although you can see i removed the vent windows as mentioned elsewhere was headed to final wetsand before color and found a stress crack along the top of each front fender enjoy

Getting real close. I have a hard time leaving the body paint until the end. I would really like to do that mainly for fitting issues. Any tips on keeping it in the box until the rest is done?

for me personally...anytime i paint early it ALWAYS gets nicked and scratched up as we all know this is frustrating to say the least, that's why i wait til last. plus on this one, the paintscheme is a little easier/quicker/more forgiving than one would normally see

Coming along great Frank, i too leave the paint till almost last, if i paint it first, i rush it because i can already see what it will look like.

-I agree with the painting of the body, I leave it LAST as fitting at times can be a PITA, and that can and WILL scratch the body up.....SO, not likely to get dung up if the painted body is the last you do.....
