I use .078" thick Aluminum "wire" from a craft store thats sold for Floral use for exhaust pipe.....
BUT it seems to be just a tad to thin for the turbo usage.....(why I asked!)
This is GREAT to know so, I'll be on the hunt and look at whats in my tool box currently! LOL

Wow! Great build, the turbos look the way they're supposed to.
And I agree, muscle cars have two doors and no post.

Dale, I'm robbing your pic: I want to use this as a pic to see if you got ANY close up's of how and what you used for the exhaust manifolds or headers..... I can't quite make them out and how and what you went about to get them to lead to the turbochargers....? This built has my attention as I'm actually trying to "reverse" the locations of the exhaust and turbo's locations, to feed up the back of the engine!

Steal away mate, all I did was put the left header on the right hand side and vice versa, just upside down, it was the easiest bit to do.

Dale, yeah, but which "Hemi" did you use? LOL from which kit? I ask as the ones I know of are all slightly different!
I've still got to do up a set of turbos as you did here! BUT that too, is coming! LOL
I got to cough up a blower "hat" to sit/fit atop my 2 HUGE Holley 1100's thats going on my big motor, and then 2 turbos to feed 'em air, with a single "Elephant" trunk from 2 turbos to one blower hat.....Almost most like a Nelson Racing Engines set up, only, backwards.....

Sorry John, but to us laymen, a HEMI IS A HEMI IS A HEMI. I would not have a clue which kit it came from mate, it was just laying in the parts box, could not even guarantee it was a hemi, I know I found hemi rocker covers though, You can't see enough of it to matter to me, I reckon only you could pick which one it is, I don't have your knowledge of the beasts. And those NRE set ups are complete animals aren't they. bowdown-right

...yeah, I'm a detail nerd, I know it LOL The thing I have that most don't in model cars, is the models I'm building, I've either worked on the mechanics of in real life 1:1 scale, OR built that particular engine to OEM spec for whatever year (Restoration) or something including all of thee above! I've built 2 of the old '66 "426 Hemi's" over the years (some engine in real life might I add, but one, OEM with little aftermarket parts upgrades, and the other Pro-Stock/custom. BOTH impressive on the stand of a Dyno! As far as the NRE "Hemi" animals, you ought to see a REAL one in person, you think they something on TV, or Video or even pictures! idling at 850 RPM's and the damn thing as it was idling producing in excess of 600 HP!!!!!!Just before the turbos spooled up, then the numbers went hell bound for pavement! But yes, they are some untamed animals, thats an understatement!!!! LOL I'd simply love to drive one in an equally equipt car Charger? Challenger, ohh well why not a Super Bee? The later sounds even better (The '70 Coronet, Super Bee being my all time favorite car!) I had to ask tho, to see if you may have remembered what model it came from for "robbing" sake....As the models seem to have a slightly different version of the famous motor.....

I know what you mean John, I still remember one idling at the pumps when I was working in a gas station, the car just sat there and "shook" a bit.
Keep the updates coming Dale, I want to see this in the engine bay.

Sorry bud, the turbo's just would not go into the pathetic engine bay on this one, but the hemi did mate, it was finished about 3 months ago, its in the finished projects section.

I had to say it, those "turbo's" were actually ground pounders, (LARGE ones!) So, really, I'm not surprised they wouldn't fit!
Finished Models Dale? Under the same name? I'll be having a look!
